site.btaThousands Attend First Night of Spice Music Festival in Burgas

The first evening of the sixth consecutive edition of the Spice Music Festival gathered several thousand people in Burgas to see and hear some of the big names of the pop music scene of the 90s.

The event started shortly after 6 om on Friday with the music mixes of DJ Nikita.

Former member of the Belgian electronic trio Lasgo, Evi Goffin, was the first to take the stage. The 43-year-old singer invited the crowd to sing along and performed some of the band's most popular songs, including 'Pray', 'Alone', 'Surrender' and 'Something'. 

Next up was English artist Gareth Gates. Gates was supposed to perform on Saturday, but due to unforeseen circumstances, his performance was pushed up to Friday, the organizers said.

German trance group Fragma performed a rich repertoire of songs, including "Toca's Miracle". 

Haddaway rocked the stage with a unique musical show which included the songs "What is Love", "Rock My Heart", "Mama's House" and "Life".

Music duo 2 Unlimited performed their hit "No Limit", as well as "Get Ready," "Twilight Zone" and "Tribal Dance."

Dance formation Groove Coverage and THE KLF performed in collaboration with Wanda Dee and The Goddes.

The evening ended iwth a set by DJ DIAN SOLO.

The second day of the festival will feature the Eurodance stars E-Type, the British rapper with Indian roots Punjabi MC, one of the first breakdance artists in Europe, Captain Hollywood Project, as well as John Newman, Garreth Gates, David Tavare and Italo Brothers. DJ Nikita and DJ DIAN SOLO will also take part.

The festival's organizers announced the dates for the Spice Music Festival  in 2025, which will take place on August 8 and 9.
