Several fires broke out in Turkiye on Wednesday, local media reported.

A large wildfire is raging in Izmir Province. The flames broke out near Narlıdere at about noon. The cause remains unknown, CNN TURK said.

Four aircraft and two firefighting helicopters, more than 25 fire engines, and other equipment have been dispatched to support the firefighting efforts.

Another fire broke out overnight in a flour factory in an industrial area in Mardin, Southeast Turkiye, NTV said.

The flames engulfed a large part of the factory, destroying dozens of tons of flour.

Fire crews and police were dispatched to the site. The firefighters have brought the fire under control and an investigation has been launched into its cause.

Meanwhile, a fire also broke out in a factory in Gebze, Kocaeli Province (Northwest Turkiye), at noon on Wednesday.

Dense smoke was rising over the area. A large number of fire engines were involved in the firefighting efforts.

The weather in Turkiye has been unseasonably hot over the past few days. Meteorologists noted that temperatures are several degrees above normal.
