Dialogue Is Needed to
Stabilize Energy Sector -
PM Bliznashki

Sofia, September 4 (BTA) - Opening Thursday's meeting of the
National Council for Tripartite Cooperation (NCTC), Prime
Minister Georgi Bliznashki said that a way to minimize losses
and stabilize the energy sector should be found through dialogue
among producers, consumers and all stakeholders.

Bliznashki stressed that ordinary people are too sensitive to
prices in the energy sector and should not be saddled with
everything. However, prices will most likely have to rise
gradually in the present situation.

Bliznashki also said: "We are well aware that the caretaker
government's main task is to prepare and hold the parliamentary
elections. The administration is giving its best to do this and
things are going well. In a sense, the dismissals and
appointments of regional governors have drawn undue criticism,
while we are only trying to keep a balance. I called on all
[regional governors] who will participate in the elections to
resign so as not to cause unnecessary tension," he said, adding
that some did so and others did not.

The Prime Minister said: "I was very unpleasantly surprised by
the regional governor of Haskovo, who took the liberty to state
that he was not appointed by Bliznashki and would not resign.
The whole society should show intolerance of such conduct."
