as Bulgaria's Candidate for
European Capital of Culture 2019


Sofia, September 5 (BTA) - An international jury selected the
southern city of Plovdiv as the Bulgarian candidate for European
Capital of Culture in 2019. The selection was announced at the
Ministry of Culture here on Friday. There were a total of four
short-listed cities: Varna, Veliko Turnovo, Plovdiv and Sofia.
