Dimiter Brankov Is New Chairman of NSSI Supervisory Board

Sofia, May 17 (BTA) - The Supervisory Board of the National Social Security Institute (NSSI) has elected Dimiter Brankov as its Chairman, the authority said on Tuesday. Brankov is Vice President of the Bulgarian Industrial Association and represents employer organisations at the NSSI.

Brankov is taking over the position on the rotation principle from former deputy PM and labour and social policy minister Ivailo Kalfin.

The Executive Secretary of the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria, Asya Goneva, continues to hold the position of Deputy Chair.

According to the provisions of the Social Insurance Code, the chairman of the NSSI Supervisory Board is elected for a one-year term. This post is rotated between the three participating parties: the executive, employers and trade unions, the press release says.
