Caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev said Wednesday at the beginning of the cabinet's regular sitting that he will not accept the caretaker Government to be burdened functions that are not provided for by law. "The role of the executive branch and the Council of Ministers is to provide material and technical support for the elections - transporting election papers, ballot papers, ensuring a normal electoral process," he explained.

Glavchev stressed that the difference between the caretaker and the regular government is that the caretaker governments have the obligation to hold fair elections. "[They contribute] only within the limits that are provided by the legislator in the Electoral Code. There it is very clearly stated who has the leading role in conducting elections, and these are the election commissions and respectively the Central Election Commission," pointed out Dimitar Glavchev. He said that he would insist that the functions be performed as they are spelled out in the Electoral Code.

"Everything has already started, we already held one good elections, nobody complained about them," Glavchev pointed out. "I think we will conduct these elections even better," he added.
