In a statement before the new session of Parliament, Stanislav Balabanov of There Is Such a People (TISP) said that the fiftieth National Assembly will forever remain in history because “we have seen the collapse of what were until recently considered monolithic political-economic constructs, so the upcoming elections are extremely important… We as a society will have the opportunity to sort out the political landscape and this can only be done by you, dear Bulgarians,” Balabanov read in a declaration issued by his party, noting that the choice is between decay and reason, between lies and truth, between deceit and justice.

“Today is the beginning of the end of the 50th Ordinary National Assembly,” the MP said. “The country is going to elections again, the State budget will again spend nearly BGN 120 million of your money, a number of laws announced by all parties as very important will not be passed again, and you will again listen to all kinds of promises that most parties will again not fulfil. And things could have been different. With the negotiations on the third mandate, we from TISP have shown to everyone that there are major priorities and goals for the country, on which there is agreement among the MPs present here. This only means that some of the most important problems, which are clear to every Bulgarian, could have been solved by the end of the year, but this will not happen because of two people - Kiril Petkov [the co-leader of Continue the Change] and [GERB leader] Boyko Borissov,” he said.
