When asked about the recent collapses of political parties and when he expects them to stop, independent MP Etien Levi told reporters here on Wednesday that he believes that the processes of collapse of political parties are healthy. Levi himself became an MP as a member of the Velichie Parliamentary Group, which ceased to exist on July 5 after six of its 13 members submitted applications to leave.

Levi said: "This is how the cleansing will come. Things will settle down, so that the National Assembly can work for the benefit of the people." He added that while six of his then colleagues chose to leave the parliamentary group, he decided to stay because of the group's clear intention to do its job.
