site.btaCaretaker Finance Minister Lyudmila Petkova to Keep Her Post in New Cabinet

Caretaker Finance Minister Lyudmila Petkova told journalists in front of the parliament building that she has received an invitation to stay in the cabinet and has accepted it. 

“We had a discussion on Bulgaria's main priorities. I am honoured to be part of her team,” she added in response to a question on how she was convinced by the prime minister-designate Goritsa Grancharova-Kozhareva to stay on in the new caretaker cabinet.

In her words, the immediate tasks before Bulgaria include the implementation of budget 2024, the preparation of budget 2025, and entering the euro area. The caretaker government will submit its draft budget to the National Assembly by the end of October, she said.
