In a declaration during the first sitting of the new Parliament, Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) urged the largest and second largest force in the legislature, GERB and the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF), to take the responsibility for the government of the country and reconfirmed that it won't be part of it. "The elections produced what [GERB leader Boyko] Borissov and [MRF leader Delyan] Peevski wanted: an opportunity to have a government of their own. Now is the time for them to take the responsibility and form a government because they have no one to hide behind," said MP and former Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov.

Yet again, he blamed GERB for bringing down the government which he headed and which was shared between CC-DB and GERB.

"CC-DB has managed to form governments twice. No other political force has taken this responsibility in such hard times. We are paying a high political price for that. These two government were brought down after less than a year, mostly thanks to the joined efforts of GERB, MRF and There Is Such a People - not because these governments were bad," he said.

He also said that CC-DB understand voters' message and the meaning of the fact that they lost nearly a third of the seats, and vowed to work hard to earn back their trust.

"CC-DB will be an active, constructive and pro-European opposition, and will support decisions that are good for society," he said.
