Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov said here Monday that three laboratories will be supplied with state-of-the-art equipment in order to speed up drug driving blood tests. Denkov told journalists that the purchase of the equipment has already been organized.
Bulgaria has a bad record of drug and drunk driving and the government is thinking of ways to change that.
The Prime Minister affirmed his position in favor of stricter measures against drunk and drugged drivers. "We can see that the public support for these changes is becoming stronger; we need to remain as rigorous as possible so Bulgarian people can finally understand how pointless it is to kill each other on the road," he said. He added that a working group has been established to review the legislation on the matter.
