The effective cooperation and the high level of trust between Bulgaria’s National Service for Protection (NSP) and the Protection and Guard Service (SPP) of Romania are in line with the spirit of the strategic partnership of the two countries, confirmed at the highest governmental level. This position was shared by the head of the NSP, Major General Emil Tonev, and the Ambassador of Romania to Bulgaria, Brandusa Ioana Predescu, at a meeting at the NSP headquarters in Sofia, the institution’s press centre said on Monday.
The Romanian Ambassador attended a ceremony to award NSP officers who helped Romanian citizens in need on the territory of this country.
The NSP Chief and the Romanian diplomat commended the operational cooperation between the two security services, which work successfully in carrying out security tasks, including visits of delegations at high and highest state level, as well as in terms of joint exchange of experience and professional training of staff and work on projects in which the SPP has extensive experience.
Ambassador Predescu expressed her deep respect and gratitude to the NSP officers for the critical assistance they have provided to Romanian citizens in distress and expressed her gratitude to Major General Tonev for the professionalism and humanity shown by the NSP officers.
