Labour and Social Policy Minister Borislav Gutsanov Wednesday said the grey sector caused a huge loss of budget revenues. He was given a hearing by the parliamentary Labour and Social Policy Committee.
In his words, the number of Labour Inspectorate employees increased so as to implement control, but the National Revenue Agency, the Customs Agency and even Parliament should be involved in this. The grey sector is a huge problem, a large amount of the funds are in it, he said. There is a problem with budget revenues because of the string of caretaker cabinets, which provided a good breeding ground for the grey sector, he added. "We have set out to collect budget revenues precisely from the grey sector," Gutsanov added.
"The grey sector has grown amid political instability, but we will do whatever is within our powers," he said.
