site.btaGovernment Appoints New Regional Governors of Haskovo. Shumen and Targovishte Regions

The government appointed three new regional governors during a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, the government information service said.

Stefka Stefanova has been appointed Governor of Haskovo Region. She previously held the same position from 2019 to 2021. She has also served as Deputy Governor of Haskovo Region and as a municipal councilor on the Harmanli Municipal Council.

Katya Ivanova has been appointed Governor of Shumen Region. Ivanova holds a degree in finance and brings substantial administrative and management experience. She has previously served as chief secretary at the Shumen Regional Administration and as head of a department at Shumen Municipality.

Yoan Peev has been appointed Governor of Targovishte Region. He has held various positions at the Targovishte regional administration. He holds a Master's degree in Computer Systems and Networks from the University of Ruse.

As part of the government decision, the previous governors of the three regions have been relieved of their duties.
