site.btaTop Athletes to Represent Bulgaria at Military World Winter Games

Bulgaria's top athlete will represent Bulgaria at the CISM Military World Winter Games, said the National Military Sport Federation. The 5th edition of the Games will be held in Lucern, Switzerland, March 23 through 30.

The programme includes 14 events and Bulgaria will have entrants in five of them.

Albert Popov and Kalin Zlatkov will compete in the Alpine ski events; Vladimir Iliev, Milena Todorova, Blagoy Todev and Krassimir Anev in biathlon; Stanimir Belomazhev and Antonia Grigorovoa in ski running; Militsa Mircheva and Todor Mihalev in cross-country skiing.

During a General Meeting of the National Military Sport Federation, Admiral Emil Eftimov withdrew as Chair and Lt. Gen. Krassimir Kanev was elected in his place. 

Before the meeting, the Federation and the Defence Ministry awarded the best performing athletes from the competitions run by the two organizations in 2024.
