site.btaPrime Minister Glavchev Reaffirms Bulgaria's Strong Support for EU Enlargement

Addressing Tuesday's meeting of the Council of Ministers, caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev reaffirmed Bulgaria's strong support for the enlargement of the European Union (EU) with the Western Balkan countries, as well as with Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia.

Bulgaria is a bridge between the Western Balkans, and Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia, Glavchev stressed and underscored that Bulgaria has always supported the enlargement. According to the Prime Minister, the enlargement is a basis for increasing the security, stability and economic development not only in these countries, but also in the EU as a whole, but only if the commitments made by each of the countries are respected.
