Romanian media outlets report plans for a Central and Eastern Europe tour by Donald Trump Jr, that will take him to Romania, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia and Bulgaria. According to Digi24 and G4Media, President Donald Trump's eldest son will be in Bucharest on April 28 for a business event. The reports say that no meetings are planned with Romanian politicians. 

The Romania visit will take place only a week before the presidential elections there on May 4.

Donald Trump Jr. has slammed the decision by the Constitutional Court of Romania to annul the presidential elections as "another Soros/Marxist attempt to manipulate the result and deny the will of the people". In early March 2025, independent candidate Victor Ponta published on social media a photo of him and Donald Trump Jr. 

While he does not currently hold an official position in the US administration, Donald Trump Jr. is a major figure in Trump Organization and an advocate of President Trump's policies.
