Temperatures are low, but conditions in the mountains are good for winter tourism, the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) of the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC) told BTA.

In the high parts of the Balkan Mountains conditions for hiking are unpleasant. There is fog, with moderate wind and a temperature of minus 13C. The conditions are wintry everywhere in the higher parts, the MRS said.

Resort facilities are no longer operational. 

There have been no incidents involving tourists in the past 24 hours, the MRS informed.
