Greece and Bulgaria are strategic partners building a strong axis of stability and security, said. Bulgarian President Rumen Radev on Wednesday in his remarks at the tenth edition of the Delphi Economic Forum, Greece.

Radev stressed that important lessons from history show that cooperation is a much better choice than rivalries and contradictions.

“This is my ninth year as President and I would say that it has never been more difficult to talk about the future. Even more so when it comes to security,” the Bulgarian Head of State said. In his words, “the dynamics in geopolitical processes are gaining momentum like we have never seen before.”

According to Radev, the security architecture is crumbling, long-established business models are showing cracks, new large-scale tariffs are rocking markets. Stagnation has infiltrated leading European economies, he believes.

“I would like to underline some key words that reflect the European Union's ability to meet the challenges of today, to emerge stronger tomorrow and to strengthen its role on the global stage - security, strategic autonomy, competitiveness, innovation, artificial intelligence and, above all, unity,” Radev stressed.
