Sofia, April 18 (BTA) - An earthquake measuring 4.0 points on the Richter Scale and epicentred near the village of Polsko Pudarevo in Nova Zagora Municipality (Southeastern Bulgaria), was registered at 9.46 a.m. local time on Monday, the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography reported.
The regional fire safety and population protection services in Sliven Region have not received information about damages and injured people after the earthquake, the Regional Directorate of the Interior in Sliven said in a press release. The services are keeping in touch with the mayors of the villages in the region of the epicentre.
