Foreign Direct Investments in Bulgaria Drop by 83.4 Per Cent in January-February 2016 Y/Y

Sofia, April 18 (BTA) - According to preliminary data, foreign direct investments in Bulgaria presented according to the directional principle amounted to 81 million euro (0.2 per cent of GDP 2) in January-February 2016, down by 405.5 million euro (83.4 per cent) from the like period of 2015, the Bulgarian National Bank said Monday.

In February 2016, foreign direct investments in Bulgaria grew by 36.1 million euro, compared with an increase of 163 million euro in February 2015.

According to the central bank's preliminary data, direct investments abroad amounted to 28.9 million euro in January-February 2016, compared with 6.3 million euro in the same period of 2015. In February 2016, they grew by 38.3 million euro, compared with an increase by 10.8 million euro in the like month of 2015.
