President-Elect Radev to Be Inaugurated on January 22

Sofia, January 16 (BTA) - The inauguration ceremony for Bulgaria's newly elected President Rumen Radev will be held in Sofia's Sveti Alexander Nevsky Square, starting at 11:00 a.m. on January 22, the head of State's Press Secretariat said on Monday.

The officials and guests at the ceremony will take their places as from 10:30 a.m.

The invitees include Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and all Cabinet members, National Assembly Chair Tsetska Tsacheva and all MPs, Constitutional Court President Boris Velchev and all constitutional judges, Supreme Court of Cassation President Lozan Panov, Supreme Administrative Court President Georgi Kolev, Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov, former President Peter Stoyanov, former President Georgi Purvanov, the acting Chief of Defence, Vice Admiral Emil Eftimov, representatives of the Defence Ministry, Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova, members of the diplomatic corps, the secretaries to President Rosen Plevneliev and the directors of directorates, their successors of President-elect Radev's team, and other officials.

Plevneliev will deliver a speech at 11:05 a.m., to be followed by a speech from Radev.

The two presidents will lay a wreath at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier and will observe a minute of silence in memory of the fallen for the freedom of Bulgaria.

At 12:10 p.m., the outgoing and incoming presidents and the outgoing and incoming vice presidents will confer separately, after which Rosen Plevneliev and Margarita Popova will be sent off by their successors, Rumen Radev and Iliana Iotova, at the main entrance to the Administration of the President.
