Parliamentary Pressure Group to Urge Caretaker Cabinet to Hire International Investigators about Failed
CorpBank

Sofia, January 18 (BTA) - The so-called pressure group in the 43rd National Assembly, comprising two Reformist Block MPs: Martin Dimitrov and Peter Slavov, and GERB MP Metodi Andreev, will demand from the caretaker cabinet that will be shortly appointed by president elect Rumen Radev, to hire a company for international investigations in a bid to recover part of the money of the failed Corporate Commercial Bank (CorpBank), Dimitrov told reporters in Parliament Wednesday.

Dimitrov said that if developments on the matter are not seen already in the first week of the term of the caretaker cabinet, it will mean that the government has buried its head in the sand, just like the outgoing GERB-led cabinet. Dimitrov said that if nothing is done, the same proposal will be made to the next regular cabinet.

The pressure group will continue to search for who is responsible for the wasting of 20 billion leva in the abandoned project for the Belene nuclear power plant.

Two other causes of the group are cracking down on cartels and abolishing the statute of limitation in respect of crimes against humanity during the communist regime.
