Sitting on January 24
Sofia, January 23 (BTA) - National Assembly Chairperson Tsetska Tsacheva calls an extraordinary plenary sitting on January 24, from 12 o'clock noon, Parliament said in a press release on Monday.
The convocation of an extraordinary sitting comes after one fifth of the MPs have called for it, and is in compliance with the provisions of the constitution and the rules of work of Parliament.
On the agenda of the sitting is a second-reading debate of the concessions bill, of amendments to the Legal Aid Act, to the Implementation of Penal Sanctions and Remand in Custody Act, to the Spatial Development Act, to the State Ownership Act, to the Code of Civil Procedure, and to the Obligations and Contracts Act.
On January 20, 50 MPs of the Reformist Bloc, the Patriotic Front, the Bulgarian Socialist Party, ABV, the Bulgarian Democratic Centre and Ataka filed a motion to call an extraordinary parliamentary sitting on January 24. VI/ZH
