Zdravko Zdravkov Is Sofia's New Chief Architect

Sofia, April 19 (BTA) -  Zdravko Zdravkov has been elected Chief Architect of Sofia. He is replacing Peter Dikov who resigned in November after 10 years in office.

Zdravkov contested the job along with another 14 candidates. In the final stretch of the competition Zdravkov's opponent was architect Vladi Kalinov, head of the Construction Supervision department with the Sofia Town hall.

Zdravkov was chief architect of the northern town of Cherven Bryag.

On Tuesday, Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova said that the competition had been transparent and that the 13-member jury had comprised experts, representatives of branch organizations, municipal councillors and civil  observers
