Fund Concludes Preselection of Projects under Scheme for Small Agricultural Holding Startups

Sofia, September 27 (BTA) - The State Fund Agriculture has concluded an initial check for compliance with selection criteria for aid for small agricultural holding startups under the Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, the Fund said.

Of the 3,753 projects that have been submitted, a total of 2,402 have been approved for a second evaluation, worth 70 million leva.

Under the scheme, projects promoting permanent crops, vegetable growing and bee keeping will be considered in line with the priorities set out under the Rural Development Programme and the guidelines for the scheme implementation.

The scheme helps the economic development of small agricultural holdings, their modernization, environmental protection and efforts against climate change.
