site.btaCC-DB to Be Constructive Opposition: Ivaylo Mirchev
Speaking to journalists at the entrance to the National Assembly before the start of the regular session of Parliament Thursday, Ivaylo Mirchev from Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) said that the formation will be constructive opposition, especially on issues such as the euro area and the anti-corruption programme. The first item expected to be voted on is the draft cabinet with a candidate for prime minister Rosen Zhelyazkov.
Asked if they would vote together with the new majority, Mirchev said that the CC-DB could not not support their own anti-corruption programme. "The problem is that in the negotiations it was seen that our anti-corruption programme does not appeal to certain forces in Parliament. It is quite clear and quite categorical and we will not back down from it in any case. If there is really some traction in Parliament in this direction, we will support it," he also said.
According to him, the huge problem of this government is that it is under the shadow of Delyan Peevski.
