site.btaVladimir Malinov to Join EU Energy Ministers' Meeting in Brussels, Dec. 16

Vladimir Malinov, Minister of Energy in Bulgaria's caretaker government, will participate in a regular meeting of the EU Transport, Telecommunications and Energy Council (Energy configuration), which will be held in Brussels on Monday, Malinov's ministry said.

A report by the International Energy Agency about the future of geothermal energy will be presented at the meeting. The EU ministers are expected to adopt conclusions on promoting geothermal energy. They will share opinions on the future of the sectoral policy for building an energy union.

While in Brussels, Malinov will also attend a meeting of the EU Nuclear Alliance, hosted by France.

On the sidelines of the EU Council meeting, Malinov will talk with Austrian Climate Action and Energy Minister Leonore Gewessler. They will discuss bilateral cooperation in the field of energy security.
