site.btaFinance Ministry Reopens Issue of 3-year Government Securities

The Finance Ministry has reopened an issue of 3-year Government Securities which was launched at an auction on January 20, 2025. The issue is BGN-denominated, maturing on January 22, 2028, with an interest coupon of 2.75%, the Ministry said on Monday.

The volume of the issue in circulation was increased by BGN 100 million at an auction on February 10, 2025, reaching a nominal value of BGN 400 million. The annual weighted average yield reported at the auction is 2.76%

The total subscribed amount reached BGN 221.3 million, which corresponds to a bid-to-cover ratio of 2.21. The spread reported as against the analogous German Bunds is 76 basis points.

The February 10 auction is the third for 2025. So far this year, the Finance Ministry has raised a total of BGN 600 million, following the sale of 3-year Тreasury notes worth BGN 300 million and 7-year Тreasury notes of the same value.
