Pamporovo Resort Reports 25% More Tourists This Winter, Lift Ticket Prices to Drop from March 21

Pamporovo AD reported a 25% increase in tourist numbers this winter, company director Stefan Prisadov told BTA on Thursday. The ski season will last until April 6-10, depending on the weather, Pamporovo AD said.

He said the winter season had been successful, with an increase in tourist flow from Romania, Turkiye, Britain and Ireland. Efforts to present the resort and the Rhodopi Mountains on foreign markets are yielding results, Prisadov said. The number of Romanian tourists increased the most, by some 15% from last winter. The aim is to attract customers from new markets such as Czechia, Poland and Israel.

A daily ski lift ticket will cost BGN 82 for adults, BGN 69 for young people and BGN 49 for children between March 21 and April 6, the company said. Ski packages for a lift ticket and equipment will also be discounted to BGN 104 for adults, BGN 91 for young people and BGN 63 for children.

School students from the municipalities of Smolyan and Chepelare will have free access to the ski area in Pamporovo from March 24 to April 6.

Pamporovo is being advertised as a year-round destination. Early bookings for summer holidays in the resort have started in the winter months.
