The leader of MRF-New Beginning, Delyan Peevski, does not expect new elections but is sure that a ninth party will enter Parliament after a pending court decision concerning the lawfulness of the October 27, 2024 parliamentary elections. "There will be no early elections if work is done for the people," Peevski told journalists in the parliamentary corridors Thursday.

Velichie could potentially enter Parliament after the Constitutional Court ordered experts to review the voting data from the October 27, 2024, parliamentary elections in 2,204 voting sections. The decision is expected later Thursday.

Asked by the press to comment the potential impact of the possible entry of the Velichie party in Parliament, he said: "I already told you - they are sure to get in. This scheme and fraud have been a long time in the making."

When a journalist asked who was behind this "scheme," Peevski responded: "You are the ones who should look into it. [...] Do your job and find out who is producing them and who has an interest in destabilizing the Bulgarian Parliament and parliamentary life."

"If the Prime Minister and this majority do the right things, I will support them. I will not push my country into the abyss because of drunk people like Dogan, people like Prokopiev, and others sitting in different offices, waiting for a complete collapse so they can come to power while playing with their little toys," Peevski stated.

"Dogan" is the founder of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms and Peevski's one-time mentor and political partner Ahmed Dogan, and "Prokopiev" is the owner of the Economedia media group.

"If those in power work for the people, I will support them. If they do not, I will not support their decisions. They have no other real support. Why? Because at yesterday’s protest, it was clear that all the people who want to destroy Bulgaria were together. I have told them multiple times. I see them playing around with some ridiculous protests. If they choose to continue with the street protests, I will start bringing my people every day and stop them," he added.

Peevski was referring to a Wednesday night protest in Sofia and several other large cities, demanding fair elections and rule of law.
