Boycotting supermarket won't solve the problems along the agrifood chain, Agriculture and Food Minister Georgi Tahov said here Thursday. He was speaking to the press during a visit to Plovdiv. He added though that he will be joining the boycott and won't be shopping for groceries on Thursday.
According to the Minister, the two boycotts "have opened up the issue for a discussion". "This has been among very few initiatives, which united large groups of people. It is not pointless. At least not all prices have gone up," said he.
Tahov arrived in Plovdiv for the Third National Meeting of Fruit and Vegetable Producers. The programme includes three panels with presentations and discussions which will take place during the day.
