MRF - New Beginning will introduce a law to curb profiteering and control traders and producers for the "big consumer basket", the party press centre said Wednesday.

According to the leader of the formation Delyan Peevski, the unjustified growth of prices of basic necessities creates tension among the people and therefore urgent and categorical intervention of the state is needed to limit the speculative growth of prices of basic necessities. 

"Political and economic instability are the main cause of these negative developments and Bulgaria is not an isolated case, but it is the responsibility of politicians to protect people first", Peevski further stated. 

According to him, by introducing the law on profit limitation and price control, the party offers a solution that will enable people to feel supported by the state.
