"We will talk with all parties on another vote of no confidence against the government after the eurozone date," Continue the Change (CC) co-leader Kiril Petkov told bTV on Saturday.
Petkov noted that his party will start working on its own motion of no confidence as soon as there is a date for the country's entry into the eurozone. He added that they have more than enough motives to table a vote of no confidence against the Cabinet of Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov. Petkov said that his party will talk with all parties on the topic of corruption and the state budget.
The CC has now clearly defined two key principles for the party - it is pro-European and anticorruption oriented. Petkov said that they could not support the vote of no-confidence because it would have been a risk for the country's entry into the eurozone.
Eurozone accession is an anticorruption measure. Enetering teh eurozone, the country will reveal BGN 25 billion of gray capital which will be brought to the surface to be converted. Petkov argued that there are several banks in Bulgaria which are not controlled by the European Central Bank and have "odd practices", which will be cleared up with the entry into the eurozone.
According to Petkov, the government will survive their vote of no confidence too because the MRF - New Beginning has become a partner of the ruling coalition.
