More than EUR 4 billion have been invested in the Trakia Economic Zone since its establishment, Plamen Panchev, Executive Director and founder of the Trakia Economic Zone (TEZ) said in an interview with BTA.
He was honored with an award for personal contribution in this year's edition of the Investor of the Year competition.
According to him, more than 45,000 jobs have been created in the TEZ since its establishment. Panchev pointed out that by the end of July, the first plant of the Chinese company ZS EUROPE, which was also awarded in the competition in the category of investment with high contribution to development in the region, is expected to be operational. Intensive negotiations are also underway with two other Chinese companies interested in investing in the TEZ.
