There are still uncleared sections of a house destroyed in a gas explosion in the town of Bankya, some 18 km from Sofia and the search for a second person continues, said the Interior Ministry.

A charred body was found at the scene on Saturday. According to initial information, it belonged to a woman.

Another person, thought to be the woman's brother, is being searched for, said Sofia Police chief Lyubomir Nikolov.

On January 24 an explosion of gas equipment in Sofia's Bankya borough destroyed partially one house and damaged a second one.
