Parliament Wednesday did not agree to extend the work of an ad hoc committee to verify and establish the facts and circumstances regarding the outbreaks of goat plague and sheeppox in Bulgaria.
The draft decision to extend the work of the committee for one month was rejected and in the second vote by 73 votes in favour, 90 against and 47 abstentions.
Among the reasons for the requested extension was the need to hear a number of officials, health and animal experts and representatives of the parties concerned.
Parliament Chair Nataliya Kiselova noted that the ad hoc committee should submit a report on its activities.
