site.btaNational Assembly Sets Up Ad Hoc Committee to Draft Rules of Procedure
The National Assembly set up an ad hoc committee to draft the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly. The decision to set up the committee was unanimously supported by 227 votes in favour. GERB-UDF MP Hristo Gadzhev was elected chair of the committee with 165 votes in favour, 12 votes against and 50 abstentions.
The draft bill was submitted by the National Assembly Chair, Nataliya Kiselova.
The committee is to consist of 16 MPs, two from each parliamentary group. Another point of the decision stipulates that the current parliamentary rules of procedure adopted by the 50th National Assembly will become draft rules of procedure for the organization and activities of the 51st National Assembly.
The composition of the ad hoc committee was adopted by 224 votes to one, with no abstentions.
