A 16-member delegation from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), headed by Alfred Heer (Switzerland, ALDE), will travel to Bulgaria from 25 to 28 October to observe the early parliamentary elections on 27 October, PACE said Wednesday.

They will meet representatives of the ministries responsible for running the elections, the Vice-President of the Supreme Administrative Court, the Chairperson and members of the Central Election Commission, representatives of political parties and coalitions, as well as those of NGOs and the media, before observing the vote  on 27 October.

A member of the Venice Commission, the Council of Europe's group of independent legal experts, will provide legal advice during the National Assembly’s election observation mission.
                                                                             
A press briefing is scheduled on Monday, October 28, at 1 pm at the Sofia Grand Hotel.
