Varna Free University will launch a project called Artificial Intelligence in Education, which will train teachers how to use Al technologies in the classroom, the university said on Tuesday. 

The project will start in October and will cover 120 teachers and students in the seaside city. The participants will go through a series of training sessions in different modules and will learn about different AI tools in education, the basics of ChatGPT and Gemini and their application in the learning process. They will also look at ways to create visual content and strategies to integrate AI into various academic disciplines. 

The training will be conducted by Simeon Nguyen, Director of Cyber360 Academy, who is a university lecturer on ethical hacking, teaching employees and companies how to protect themselves from cyber threats.

The project is part of the Youth Activities 2024 Programme of Varna Municipality, with the primary goal being the improvement of teaching and learning through the safe application of AI technology, while also addressing the ethical implications of AI use in the classroom.
