site.btaUPDATED Lozana Vassileva Replaces Tantya Georgieva as Deputy Agriculture Minister

Caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev has appointed Lozana Vassileva, PhD, as Deputy Minister of Agriculture, effective August 5, the Government's information service reported here on Thursday. Vassileva replaces Tanya Georgieva, who was relieved of office by order of Glavchev. Georgieva had bid to resign for personal reasons.

 Vassileva holds a PhD in agricultural economics from the University of National and World Economy. She has also specialized in organic agriculture at the University of South Bohemia in Czechia. Vassileva has served as deputy executive director of State Fund Agriculture since July 13, 2023. She was also deputy agriculture minister between 2017 and 2021.
