Fake brand-name clothes worth BGN 110,000 have been confiscated from two shops in the Golden Sands resort, the Varna police said on Friday. The clothing was discovered during a police operation.

The confiscated goods included clothing, hats, perfumes, sneakers and slippers, all of which had registered trademarks. The outlets failed to provide documents of origin and authorizations from the holders of the exclusive rights.

Two pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case. The seized goods will be destroyed, said the police.
