site.btaFormer Mayor on New Traffic Organization in Central Sofia: "Save Sofia" Blundered, Want to Scapegoat Me

In response to critique from the Save Sofia movement regarding the new traffic organization around the National Palace of Culture introduced in early May, GERB-UDF MP and former Sofia mayor Yordanka Fandakova said here on Friday that Save Sofia are trying to use her as a scapegoat.

Fandakova said: "They screwed up, and now they are trying to blame me. They will probably use me as a scapegoat for years to come. The people see and judge what they do, whether they can do it or not."

The former mayor denied allegations from Save Sofia that all repairs since 2017 have been illegal.

The Supreme Administrative Court (SAC) ruled conclusively here on Thursday that Sofia Municipality must terminate the new traffic organization around the National Palace of Culture.
