site.btaBulgarian Embassy in Brazil Organizes Literary Competition for Children from Bulgarian Communities Around the World
In honour of the 90th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Brazil and on the occasion of December 18 - World Migrants Day, the Embassy of Bulgaria in Brazil announced the launch of an International Student Literary Contest for children of Bulgarian descent and from Bulgarian communities around the world, the Bulgarian diplomatic mission in Brazil said Wednesday.
"The competition, which is also the closing event on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Brazil, aims to give a platform to children and young people from Bulgarian communities around the world, encouraging them to develop their writing skills in Bulgarian, to express their feelings and affection for Bulgaria and to enrich their knowledge of the role of Bulgarian diplomats around the world," the Bulgarian Embassy said.
According to the regulations, children and young people have the opportunity to write an essay on the topic "If I were an ambassador for a day, I would..." or a story on the topic "I dreamt of Bulgaria".
The Embassy stressed that all children and young people from Bulgarian communities outside Bulgaria are invited to participate. Each participant can send one essay and one short story written in Bulgarian, and participation in both thematic categories of the contest is encouraged. Submissions should be accompanied by information about the participant's name, surname, age, city and country.
The competition will be organized in three age groups, and literary entries can be sent by January 20, 2025 to the following e-mail address: secretaria.brasilia@bgembassy.com.br with the subject of the letter "For the competition/Za konkursa".
Results of the competition will be announced on February 28, 2025, with first, second and third place prizes as well as participation certificates for all children and young people.
