site.btaDRF’s Mario Rangelov: I'm not Worried about Giving Up My Immunity

“Let the documents be submitted to the National Assembly, let us get acquainted with them and we will decide on my immunity. I am not worried about giving my immunity, I believe in the judiciary, I have nothing to worry about,” MP Mario Rangelov of DRF told journalists in parliament on Thursday.

Rangelov commented on the motion for stripping him of immunity, filed by Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov, along with five other MPs from the 51st National Assembly.

The prosecution's request against Rangelov is in connection with crimes against the political rights of citizens.

Mario Rangelov commented that he would first take a look at the request, as there the judiciary is partial with regard to his party.

“The decision that I will take, first of all, has to do with protecting the honour and dignity of the family, the voters and the activists of the DRF in Pleven who have supported me," the MP added.
