site.btaHemus 2024 International Defence Exhibition to Take Place in Plovdiv between June 5 and 8

The XVI International Defence Equipment and Services Exhibition “HEMUS 2024 - Defence, Antiterrorism and Security” will take place from June 5 to June 8 at International Fair Plovdiv, the Defence Ministry said in a press release on Tuesday. Caretaker Defence Minister Atanas Zapryanov will attend the opening ceremony of the event at 11 a.m. on June 5. Deputy Chief of Defence Tsanko Stoykov will also be in attendance. Invitations are extended to President and Commander-in-Chief Rumen Radev and caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev, as well.

Caretaker Deputy Defence Minister Adelina Nikolova and Deputy Economy and Industry Minister David Sukalinski will give a news conference for the media at 10 a.m. on the day of the opening. The news conference will be attended by representatives of the Hemus-95 Foundation, organizers of the exhibition.

The Hemus 2024 International Defence Exhibition is held under the patronage of the Defence Ministry of Defence and the Economy and Industry Ministry.

On the first day of the forum, a meeting of the Industry Forum will be held.

On June 6, an open two-day international scientific conference on "Research, Innovation and Industrial Cooperation - A Paradigm for Adequate Defence" will be held. It is organised by the Professor Tsvetan Lazarov Defence Institute.

On June 7, new developments and products of Bulgarian and foreign companies will be presented through a shooting demonstration at the Zmeyovo Firing Range.

On June 8, members of the Joint Special Operations Command will make a capability demonstration. Later in the day, the exhibitors will be awarded certificates by Deputy Minister Nikolova.
