Efforts are underway to strengthen everything that connects Bulgaria and North Macedonia, focusing on both a security corridor and improving communication between citizens on both sides, President of North Macedonia Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova said, speaking to journalists before the start of the the performance of the National Opera and Ballet of North Macedonia of Nabucco by Giuseppe Verdi in Sofia on Friday.
"We are side by side for a reason; all communication is welcome," Siljanovska said. "The government understands the project, so there is no reason for it to harm NATO. In fact, we are together in this."
Radev met with Siljanovska at the Presidential Palace to discuss the ongoing dialogue between Bulgaria and North Macedonia. Their discussions focused on improving cultural ties, economic cooperation, and resolving issues in line with the Treaty of Friendship and the 2022 European Council Conclusions.
