site.btaNorth Macedonia’s President to Meet Bulgarian Counterpart, Attend Opera Performance in Sofia

President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova will visit Sofia on September 13, 2024, Siljanovska’s office announced in Skopje on Thursday. During her visit, she will meet with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, and attend a performance of Giuseppe Verdi's opera Nabucco by North Macedonia's National Opera and Ballet.

North Macedonia's Foreign Minister Timčo Mucunski said that he will also be part of the delegation that travels to Sofia and will be joined by Culture Minister Zoran Ljutkov.

Asked about the expectations from Siljanovska's visit to Sofia, the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Hristijan Mickoski, said: "The policy of my government is one of good neighbourly relations, and there should be no doubt about that." He added: "Our motto is that we do not want what is not ours, but we do not give away what is ours. Building good neighbourly relations is a European value."
