site.btaCulture Ministers of Bulgaria and North Macedonia Meet in Sofia

Bulgaria's Culture Minister Naiden Todorov met with North Macedonia's Culture and Tourism Minister Zoran Ljutkov in Sofia on Friday, hours before a Skopje production of Verdi's opera Nabucco would be performed in the Bulgarian capital, Todorov's ministry reported.

The two gave high marks for their countries' cooperation in the field of culture and art. They discussed opportunities to exchange theatrical and opera shows and to have guests from either country participate in cultural festivals in the other. The ministers shared experience in the development of the creative industries.

Ljutkov took the chance to invite Todorov to the Nabucco show.

The two concurred that culture is one of the bridges which can help boost good neighbourly relations. They expressed their shared willingness to keep working for elevating Bulgaria's cultural cooperation with North Macedonia to an even higher level.
