Leader Karadayi:MRF Will Have Central Role in Presidential Elections

Varna, on the Black Sea, May 28 (BTA) - The Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) will play a central role in the presidential elections, said MRF leader Mustafa Karadayi on Saturday. He added that the MRF is strong which will show in the outcome of the presidential elections.

Approached about what candidate the Movement will support, Karadayi said "a democrat". "Bulgaria needs a democratic government which doesn't exist at this time," he said. According to him, the constitution is breached and this poses a risk to democracy.

The MRF leader attended observances of tragic events from May 1989 in Medovets during the so-called Regeneration Process. In a speech he said that no one can split the party either from the outside or inside and that it should stay united in the upcoming presidential elections in order to show that the MRF is a key factor and ensure MRF's participation in the next government.

Asked whether there will be early elections after the presidential elections, Karadayi said that "Bulgaria needs democracy".
